Bilt is a credit card that allows cardholders to rent as well as earn rewards points.

When they link their accounts, Bilt Mastercard holders will be able to earn 5 points for every $1 spent on the Lyft card. They must choose Bilt as their primary rewards partner with Lyft. This will negate any points earned from other linked loyalty programs.

The Bilt Mastercard costs $0 annually and earns these rewards, in addition to the 5x Lyft bonus:

  • 3 points for every $1 spent on dining.

  • 2 points for every $1 spent on travel.

  • 1 point for every $1 spent on rent (upto 50,000 points per year).

  • 1 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases

Note: You must make at most five purchases per month using your Bilt Mastercard to be eligible for any rewards. )

Double earnings are available on purchases made by the card on the first day of each month. However, rent and Lyft ride costs will not be included. The Bilt card is a World Elite Mastercard and offers $5 Lyft credit for three rides per month.

Rideshare Bonuses abound

Bilt Mastercard is one of a growing number of credit cards that offer higher rewards for rideshare spending. Chase’s Sapphire, Freedom, and Ink cards will earn Lyft purchases 5x to 10x through March 2025. Many Capital One credit cards offer Uber bonus rewards and perks through Nov. 14, 2024. Cardholders of American Express cards can also receive monthly Uber credits.

It can be hard for frequent rideshare riders to pick the right credit card to make their purchases. The Bilt card is unique in that it allows you to earn points by paying rent without any fees.
