Which Chase credit cards are eligible to receive discounted lift tickets?

What should you consider before purchasing discounted lift tickets through Chase

Skiing can be expensive so discounted lift tickets might sound appealing. Before purchasing discounted lift tickets, be sure to read the fine print.

Additional purchase necessary

To take advantage of these discount lift tickets, you will need to plan. Please note that it may take up to five business days for your lift ticket to arrive. To be safe, you should purchase your tickets at least two weeks in advance of when you plan to ski.

Blackout dates

Some resorts may have blackout dates that prohibit the sale of discounted lift tickets. You should carefully read the terms and conditions to ensure that these blackout dates do not overlap with your travel plans.

Compare lift ticket costs

Lift ticket prices at many properties are dependent on when you buy and what day you wish to ski.

Lift tickets are similar to airfare. They can be more expensive during peak hours and less expensive as you get closer. Lift tickets can be more expensive directly through resorts depending on the time of year and travel dates.

Consider, for example, the Steamboat Springs lift ticket prices between February 2023 and April 2023. A one-day lift ticket costs between $132 to $243 at the time of writing.

Steamboat lift tickets purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards will cost you $199 or 19,900 Ultimate Rewards points for a 1-day pass.

You would only purchase Steamboat Springs lift tickets via Chase if it is more than $200 per person when buying directly from the resort.

Redeeming points vs. cash

Chase Sapphire cardholders can use Ultimate Rewards points for discounted lift tickets. Should you?

Chase offers 1 cent per Ultimate Rewards point value to redeem discount lift tickets. You can get even more value out of your Chase Ultimate Rewards(r), points by transferring them into Chase’s hotel and airline transfer partners.
