This means that your coverage and discounts may differ depending on where you are located. To purchase renters insurance from AAA, you may be required to be a AAA member. Compare quotes from other insurers if this is the case.

Sometimes, landlords require tenants to buy a policy that covers a minimum amount renters liability insurance. However, you can choose the coverage you want. Here are the coverage types included in standard renters policies.

The coverage listed above will be included in a standard AAA renters policy. You may be able to add these types of coverage depending on your location.

Additional coverage for valuables. Provides additional coverage for high-value items such as jewelry and art that may not be covered by a standard policy.

Website: Every AAA insurer has a website. The information and features you have will vary depending on where you are located. While some companies allow you to get quotes and pay your bills online, others have fewer features.

App: Not all AAA’s motor clubs offer mobile apps that you can use for managing your policies. Auto Club of SoCal has its Auto Club app. It is available to members who live in Southern California, Texas and the Northeast, among other areas. The AAA Mobile app, which is more general, doesn’t offer insurance services but instead targets members who need roadside assistance or trip planning.

Claims: The AAA company that you are insured will determine how you file and track your claims. You may be able submit claims online with some insurance companies and keep track of them via your digital account.

Member perks. AAA membership offers other benefits, including roadside assistance and travel discount.
