JetBlue’s revamped Mosaic Elite Status program was launched in May 2023. JetBlue offers Mosaic Elite Status in four different tiers, each of which has its own perks.

You might be wondering if there is a way to match your JetBlue Mosaic status. JetBlue does not offer the traditional status matching program. However, there are workarounds.

JetBlue does not offer status matching

JetBlue, unlike several U.S. airlines that offer public status matchings, does not do so. JetBlue did, however, offer a JetBlue Status Match and Challenge Promotion at least twice over the last decade.

Since the last promotion of this type, a status challenge/match-up was held in 2017, it’s impossible to know when another will take place.

Two travelers reported publicly that JetBlue matched their status by sending an email to JetBlue stating the current status. These reports occurred during the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic, when airlines were more eager to lure travelers.

JetBlue has sent out the following messages to travelers in recent months: “… We strive to treat all our customers fairly and consistently, but at this point we are unable match statuses from other airlines programs. ”

Spending on your credit card will earn you JetBlue Mosaic

You can earn a JetBlue Mosaic Elite Status “tile” in one of two ways.

  1. JetBlue, American Airlines, JetBlue Vacations and Paisly By JetBlue are all eligible for $100 off. Spend $100 on JetBlue flights, American Airlines flights, JetBlue Vacations or Paisly by JetBlue (rental cars and hotel stays).

  2. Spend $1,000 with JetBlue Credit Cards

JetBlue does not limit the number of tiles that you can earn by using your credit card. You can earn JetBlue Mosaic Status purely by using your credit card.

Earn tiles by using any JetBlue credit card. All three JetBlue cards are available for new cardholders.

JetBlue Status Match through StatusMatch.com

JetBlue may offer status matching in the future, even though it doesn’t currently. Registering on StatusMatch.com is one way to be notified of a JetBlue status matching opportunity.

Enter your TrueBlue Number, full name and email on the JetBlue Status Match waitlist. Confirm your email to add yourself to the JetBlue Status Match waitlist.

Consider JetBlue AAdvantage for JetBlue benefits.

American Airlines has recently made its elite status earning gamified, similar to JetBlue’s “tiles” system. Earn Loyalty points by booking flights with American Airlines, using AAdvantage cards, purchasing hotels and shopping online.

JetBlue Mosaic elites do not get the same perks as AAdvantage Elites. The AAdvantage Elites do enjoy the benefits of JetBlue Mosaic, including priority check-in, free bags, and extra legroom. They also receive a mileage status bonus. AAdvantage Elites at higher tiers enjoy complimentary flight changes on the same day and bag priority delivery.

JetBlue transatlantic flights are not included in the Northeast Alliance. This exclusion does not extend to benefits for elite status. JetBlue elites can still take advantage of AAdvantage benefits when they fly to Europe.

You can use a JetBlue card to get some Mosaic benefits

Why can’t you easily achieve AAdvantage Elite status or status matching with JetBlue? If you want some of these elite benefits, consider getting a JetBlue Credit Card.

JetBlue Plus Card, for example, earns bonus TrueBlue Points on JetBlue Flights and gives you a free first checked bag. You’ll also get 10% off JetBlue flights, 50% off on in-flight purchases and 5,000 TrueBlue bonus points every year.

Does a JetBlue Status Match make sense?

JetBlue does not offer any status matching offers, nor do they offer many challenge or status matching promotions. You can earn JetBlue Mosaic Elite status even if you don’t fly by using JetBlue credit card.

You might also find it easier to earn American Airlines’ AAdvantage Elite Status in order to enjoy JetBlue’s elite benefits.
