You may be unfamiliar with Radisson Hotels if you do not spend a lot of time in Europe. The Radisson Rewards program is a great way to earn rewards, especially if your status as an elite member.
Radisson’s status is similar to other hotel chains in that it matches the elite membership of competing programs.
There is some good news to travelers who want to learn more about the Radisson Rewards Program. Radisson Status Match: Here’s what you need to know.
1. Radisson offers a variety of programs
Radisson Rewards offers generous status matching.
There is no dedicated website that lists which elite statuses are eligible, but there have been reports about travelers who had multiple statuses being matched. Hilton, Marriott Hyatt, and IHG are all included.
Email: your Radisson Rewards Number, the name of your elite competitor, and proof of their status.
2. Credit cards can be used to obtain status
Radisson Rewards matches status from competing hotel programs. It’s good to know that many hotel programs offer elite status for those who have a credit card.
You can also get Platinum Elite status with the IHG(r), Rewards Premier credit card, as long as the card is held.
3. Radisson Rewards is available in multiple programs
In 2021 the Radisson Hotel Group will split in two, forcing two reward programs to be created. Radisson Rewards Americas, Radisson Reward and Radisson Reward are included.
Although they are two different programs, the elite status is mutual. Email customer service your proof of status for either program and they will match it to the other.
4. Only Gold for Matching
Radisson Rewards Americas offers four different levels of elite membership: club, silver, gold and platinum.
The best that you can expect is Gold Status. Platinum status is earned.
It is unlucky for members who have top-tier status in other hotel programs such as World of Hyatt Globalist, because matching Gold status would mean a downward move.
You can select to match your status to Radisson Rewards Americas or Radisson Reward Europe. You will receive VIP status if you match with Radisson Rewards.
5. Members of the Elite receive many benefits
Radisson Rewards, like other hotel loyalty programs ensures loyalty through its benefits for elite members.
The Silver Level requires six nights of stay or nine nights. Enjoy complimentary upgrades to your room, as well as early check-in and late checkout.
Gold elite status is even more rewarding. You can earn it by matching your status. You’ll receive all the Silver benefits plus an amenity in your room, 15% off food and beverage and a guarantee of availability.
6. You can compare data points
It is difficult to know if you qualify for Radisson Status Matches because there isn’t a dedicated page.
There’s an online website that allows those seeking matches to post their match results.
The Status Matcher doesn’t only apply to Radisson Reward members. Users will be able to see the status of requests for status matches from different hotel, airline, and rental car companies.
The detailed information contains the date a match request was made, the status used to make the request and the outcome of the match. You can use this information to guide your submission.
7. Citi Points can be used to book Radisson Hotels
You’ve just received your Radisson Rewards membership and you are now ready to book your first hotel stay. It’s possible to use rewards, as well as cash. If you own a Citi ThankYou card, this can be an excellent deal.
Choice Hotels acquired Radisson Rewards Americas mid-2022, and are currently integrating both programs.
If you have the Citi Prestige Card (or the Citi Premier Card), you may transfer your Citi Points to Choice in a 1:2 ratio. You will convert one Citipoint into four Radisson Points when you have completed your transfer. The award redemption is essentially 75% cheaper.
